Sample 3-Year Work Plan

The following proposals were downloaded from the U.S. Department of Education's Web site. They are meant to serve only as examples of quality proposals that may give you an idea of what qualities a successful proposal has.

When you write your proposal, you must be original and write the proposal in a way that helps the reviewers understand how your organization will use the funds to fulfill the purpose of the grant. All proposals submitted to the U.S. Department of Education are reviewed by people outside of the Department who have experience and expertise in the area addressed by the grant.

Please be aware that grant applications change each year, but this previously funded proposal may give you an idea of the qualities of a successful application.

Supplemental Educational Services application:

This is a sample application to become a Supplemental Educational Services (SES) provider. Please be aware that SES applications vary from state to state, but this proposal from the state of Minnesota may give you an idea of what it takes to become an approved provider of supplemental services. When you write your proposal, show the reviewers how your organization will help improve the academic success of children in your area.

All applications to become an approved provider of supplemental services are reviewed by state departments of education.

[Supplemental Educational Services is not a grant program. Your local education agency (LEA) must use funds from its Title I, Part A allocation to fund the services provided to the eligible students.]
